Ah, celebrity sightings – so is the life of a socialite. It’s just something you have to deal with every once in a while. The result of two social circles combinding, which often lead to trouble. Although I did not wind up into trouble last night, I did have a run in with the bassist from Umphry’s McGee at a bar in Lincoln Park for a weekly Funk&Soul night. He was eighteen innings deep. No, this isn’t a metaphor or a funny saying – he had literally been to two baseball games that day. Needless to day, he was one, two, three strikes out by the stroke of midnight. Nice guy, cool hat, and he gets high marks for starting drinking at noon on a Tuesday.
